Kelsey Bowen
MUSIC, MELODY, RHYTHM AND STORYTELLING…
Kelsey Bowen has been dancing since she was five years old. She grew up in the West Michigan Area, training primarily in Jazz and Hip-Hop movement at local studios until she reached high school and studied under the direction of Nancy Clyde at Zeeland High School. She was a member of the Zeeland High School Dance Ensemble, and performed with them at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom as a high school senior. She returned to the school's dance program as Guest Choreographer after graduation, and danced for fun in her own time as she built a career in her other true love--books. Dance formally re-entered her life in early 2023 when she joined C.Glass Dance Co. under the direction and leadership of Ciara Glass. She performed in Drowned as her first stage production with company, performed and was a guest choreographer in their summer ArtPrize production Traff-ICK, and was cast as a lead dancer (Oogie Boogie) in the winter 2023 premiere of JACK. When she's not dancing, she is a Senior Acquisitions Editor of non-fiction and fiction at Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing Group, and Worship Director at Faith United Church of God. She lives in Allendale, MI with her husband and two young daughters.
