Jenna Pewarchie

Seeing the world through a lens of her own.

Jenna graduated with a BA in Photography, Writing, & Digital Studies with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University in 2020. Jenna’s first film photography series “Mended” was featured in the Beyond The Frame and Red Wall Gallery in 2018. Jenna also created a wax body sculpture titled “The Queen & Her Armor” which was published in the Fishladder Journal in 2018. In 2019, Jenna had the special invitation to curate her first solo exhibition, “Meraki” along with her work, “I Am A Voice In A Box.” Her recent thesis “I Am Here | Not Here” was entered into the Grand Rapids Art Prize in the exhibition, “Home in The Time of Quarantine.” Her work focuses commonly on ephemeral scenes that surround ideas of existence, loss, connection and beauty of the human body.

Outside of her creative content & digital work, you can find Jenna sipping coffee into the wee hours of the night and dancing her way into inspiration.
